These psychopaths - because make no mistake, this is what they are, believe that they have the authority to determine the future of mankind and are making every conceivable effort to shape human civilisation in the way that they want it to become - primarily to serve their needs. Of course they make every attempt to do a good selling job on the man in the street, with their glossy promo's and slick dialogue designed to promote the technological future that will create a sub-race of hybrid human/robots doing menial tasks, whilst they enjoy what remains of the fruits of the earth.
