Very recently, researcher and author David Icke published his latest book ‘The Dream’ – a follow up to his previous work, ‘The Trap’. In both books the author asserts that we live in a simulation or ‘bad copy’ of what should be our true reality. He states that long ago, creation (or our portion of it) was ‘hacked’ by demonic entities from the lower astral planes and substituted or overlaid by a fake one which each of us decodes into our current holographic reality. Just as a computer program can be hacked, Icke suggests that AI, operating from the 4th dimension, has also created a fake ‘spirit world’ into which humans are drawn after ‘death’ only to then be re-cycled back to earth through the process known as reincarnation, in which memories are wiped and each person has to effectively start again at the commencement of each new life. This process, amongst the many other forms of human suffering creates ‘loosh’ or negative energy that is harvested by lower astral entities.
What has upset so many mediums is his suggestion that this astral AI is also providing fake communications from loved ones and others and that what some mediums and psychics believe is real and accurate information from the afterlife, is in fact nothing of the sort, but instead, an artificial narrative designed to further entrap gullible people into thinking they are really in touch with their loved ones. Icke gives a personal illustration of this in his book ‘The Trap’.
So, what do we make of this information – some of which could prove very damaging to spiritualism and genuine mediumship if proven to be true? Quite clearly, some form of debate is required in order to clarify things. Yet perhaps therein lies the problem as well as the answer. Conjecture, theorising and speculation, even if incorporating some supporting claims from scientists and researchers, does not offer definite proof. It is not absolute. The ‘science’ can never be truly ‘settled’, despite what some would have you believe. Neither can it be referred to as truth. It is only information, worthy of further investigation, study and reasoned debate. For something to be considered as true, it must be so for everyone, everywhere, across all time, otherwise it is only relative and thus a result of belief or local perception. In fairness, Icke himself suggests that readers make of his ideas what they will and decide for themselves. But has he, I wonder, thought of the impact his suggestions of a ‘fake spirit world’ might have upon those about to transition? Fear of death is a genuine concern for many people, particularly those with no knowledge at all. Yet even for those expecting to meet their loved ones in the spirit world, to hear that it’s all fakery must also be quite worrying. I know of many mediums too, who are confused as to whether what they have trained for, developed to do, over many years of dedicated sitting and linking to what they regard as spirit guides is all a charade.
I can only speak from personal experience regarding this last point and can say without doubt, that I have knowledge of the continuity of certain family members and loved ones. If what I am perceiving is some kind of trickery provided by an artificial intelligence far superior to anything that humanity is aware of, then it appears benevolent. Whether this is also part of the illusion may be put forward as an argument, but in over fifty-years as a medium, I have seen, heard, witnessed and been exposed to most psychic, spiritual and afterlife phenomena and none of it has left me feeling afraid, anxious, threatened or duped in any way. I have only ever sensed and felt love, kindliness, gentleness. compassion and wisdom. Perhaps I am not sufficiently aware or wise enough to discern, but experience has taught me that I am usually right.
So, I am up for the debate. My mind is open as it always has been and hopefully ever will be. I am not an Icke knocker. I have always supported his innovative work, seen him on a number of occasions and resonated with pretty much everything he has written and spoken of. We may well reside in a simulation or we many not. One thing that David and I do agree upon though is that we (all of us ‘Divine Sparks’) are infinite awareness, always have been and always will be. Thus, simulation or not – if we raise our consciousness beyond this illusory frequency, we are free of it, forever. It is we who hold the power, through love and wisdom, to decide our own reality. Change our belief and our knowing and our perception and thus our reality changes as a result. We have nothing to fear. As the man himself said ‘Infinite love is the only truth, everything else is illusion’. I’ll take that.
